The State Bar of California Sucks!

Thanks for visiting the California State Bar Sucks site. First of all, this web site is not a part of the California State Bar and this site is my opinion as protected by my First Amendment Right to free speech. I've established this web site as a result of my experiences with the State Bar of California. In my opinion, the State Bar of California is nothing more than an organization who's primary focus is to protect it's paying members -- e.g., the attorneys they profess to regulate. In the PDF files on this site, you'll see that the Deputy Trial Counsel for the State Bar of California, Margaret P. Warren, is more concerned with protecting their "clients" versus protecting the public from unscrupulous California attorneys.

A bit on the background of my original complaint. After sending the law firm an email in 2003, I received a call from Brian J. Robbins at the San Diego, CA law firm of Robbins Umeda & Fink over the financial earnings reinstatement of a company called ElectroScientific (NASDQ Symbol: ESIO) of which I owned a small amount of shares in this company. In our conversation, Mr. Robbins stated that he was interested in resolving the situation by litigation which he said in turn would help increase shareholder value by increasing the stock per share price (in reality, the stock price has stayed about the same). Naturally, I asked Mr. Robbins if he was doing this for free and as expected he said no. After this comment, I asked him would I receive anything for being lead plaintiff. While he never promised that I'd receive anything, he at least promised that he'd apply for lead plaintiff compensation with the courts. The maximum he said he'd apply for is 1,500 dollars. I said fair enough; I'll sign on as lead plaintiff. As the settlement was winding up with ESIO, I reiterated to Mr. Robbins about lead plaintiff compensation and you'll see in the following exchange of emails that he basically led me on about submitting the affidavit with the courts. The following is the exchange of emails with Mr. Robbins and myself.
